PIRATES APPOINT RESERVES COACHES

16 Feb 2018 by Adam Crean

The Peninsula Old Boys Football Club committee would like to welcome aboard our reserves coaches for season 2018.

Cam Macaulay will be the main man. Cam has played 100+ games for the pirates including 25 senior games. He was skipper of the unders in 2012 winning the league B&F. His playing career however has been cruelled by an innocuous scaffoid injury, which he’s still yet to fully recover from. This has done nothing however to diminish his passion for the game or the club and he has thrown himself into many off field roles such as runner, boundary, whatever the club required. More recently, he coached the unders last year and showed a tremendous ability to get the best out of the boys.

We wish Cam all the best in his new role and are assured he will do a great job.

Cam will be assisted by club legend Tom Coghlan. Tom has played 250+ games for the pirates including over 150 senior games. He is a reserves premiership player and has played 2 Victorian representative games for the VAFA. After finishing up with an ACL injury last year Tom has committed to turning his passion for the club into developing senior players alongside Cam and we are confident he has a lot to offer in this regard.

Good luck boys, we know you will do a fantastic job!
